2014 Intro: Namon Wright

One of the top sophomore wing prospects on the West Coast is back on the court after missing the first half of the season. Here's an intro to Namon Wright's game and recruitment.

One of the top 2014 small forward prospects out west is 6-foot-4, 175-pound Los Angeles Pacific Hills' Namon Wright.

Wright impacts the court in several ways with a very good feel for the game, rebounding, defense, slashing and improving jumper. His body has improved over the past year, as he's gotten taller and become a leaner, more athletic player.

The sophomore sat out the first part of the year after sitting out for transfer rules and is happy to be back on the court.

"It feels good to play again," Wright said. "Mostly I was working on my stamina and agility, taking jump shots."

So far Wright has heard from a handful of schools and has picked up an early scholarship offer.

"I've heard from USC, UNLV, U.C. Irvine and New Mexico State has offered," Wright said. "I was shocked because I was only in 9th grade."

Right now, Wright isn't too worried about his recruitment.

"I've got some time so I'm just working on my game right now," he said.
