Iguodala Rates The Toughest Wings To Guard
It was a thing of beauty the way Andre Iguodala locked up J.R. Morris one night. You got the sense that wasn't the first time he's put the clamps on someone. While others in the gym thought was rather impressive, it wasn't anything special to Iguodala.
"I don't work that hard at [defense]," Iguodala said. "I'm just playing defense. I had people like that in my conference last year so I was pretty much used to it. I don't want them to score and I want to win."
That's exactly the kind of attitude that is making college coaches take a long hard look at Iguodala.
Right now, he's down to five schools: Arizona, Boston College, Arkansas, Maryland and Kansas. The SF says he's going to take all of his visits and then decide. Notably absent from his list of schools are Big Ten programs. Iguodala says he's looking outside of the conference despite the fact he resides in Springfield, Ill. He says the pace is too slow for him.
"Arizona and Arkansas are kind of even," Iguodala said. "BC and Arkansas were on me at the end of the school year. Right after Boo Williams, Arizona starting sending a little bit of mail and then they offered after the Peach Jam. Boston College had offered before that." Kansas and Maryland are the newcomers to the list.
