Tucker has options

One of the top unsigned small forwards in Los Angeles, Gardena Serra's Dakarai Tucker gives an update on his recruitment.

As it stands now, 6-foot-6, 180-pound Gardena (Calif.) Serra 2012 small forward Dakarai Tucker will have a handful of options when he makes his college decision.

The senior claims offers from St. Mary's, Duquesne, LMU, Santa Clara and Nevada with interest from Utah, UCLA, USC and Pepperdine.

He's still open to others, but talked on what he likes about St. Mary's.

""I just like how they've been following me for a long time," Tucker said of St. Mary's. "They're showing me the most love. I'll visit there after the state playoffs."

In general, Tucker has three important points he's looking for in a school.

"Good academic program, good basketball program and good surroundings," he said.

Tucker described his game for Scout.com.

"I like to shoot; I'm a long range shooter that can bring the ball up the floor. I can play defense and play at a good tempo," he said.

"I need to work a little on the defensive end but me being long helps me a lot. But I need to work on my quickness on the defensive end."
