In the winter, he was almost completely unrecruited, his biggest claim to fame being that he's the younger brother of Derek Raivio, the point guard who is going to Gonzaga this fall. But after turning in some good performances at various camps and tournaments this spring, the younger Raivio is starting to make a name for himself.
Raivio showed this spring that he has a good skill set, good toughness and played some great defense.
He's been getting interest from Portland, Wyoming, Santa Clara, Nevada, Santa Barbara, Fresno State, Boise State, Harvard, Cal State Northridge and Eastern Washington. Stanford and Utah have made some inquiries about him also.
Still just getting a feel for the recruiting game, Raivio said he's wide open and willing to entertain any school that likes him.
Raivio, as you might suspect, is a very good student, maintaining a 3.8 GPA. He took the SAT at the beginning of June.
