Muhammad sets decision date

Shabazz Muhammad is gearing up for his college choice. He'll announce his decision just before signing day.

Shabazz Muhammad has set his decision date.

One of the more decorated recruits in the 2012 recruiting class will announce his choice on April 10th, according to Las Vegas (Nev.) Bishop Gorman coach Grant Rice.

"That's what it looks like," Rice said confirming the news.

"It's definitely the 10th," Rice added. "The 10th will be the day."

Among the schools involved with Muhammad are UCLA, Kentucky, UNLV, Duke and Kansas. His most recent official visits were to Kansas and Duke.

"The 11th is the signing day," Rice said. "He has to leave at 6 am on the 11th for the Jordan game. We really don't have any details yet. We haven't set anything up as far as a time or where. I'm assuming we will do it at Gorman at the school."

Muhammad, a 6-foot-5, 210-pound wing prospect, led Bishop Gorman to a Class 4A state championship, while averaging 30 points and 10 rebounds per outing in his senior season.
