It was a productive high school season for Alexander. He led Curie to a very solid season and now he is ready to take his game to a new level on the AAU circuit playing for Team D-Rose.
"I think I played pretty good, but I can't be too happy since we didn't win a state championship," said Alexander. "I think I did play well during the season though."
He continued, "I've been working on my post moves, and right now I am working on my ball handling and my jump shot."
Recruiting wise it is no surprise that all the Midwest powers are showing him significant attention.
The offer from the Buckeyes was a big one for Alexander.
"It meant a lot," he said of the offer. "It let me know that I am getting recognized for how I play out on the court."
One school that has built a strong relationship with Alexander is Michigan State. Head Coach Tom Izzo has made him a priority from day one.
"I like Izzo, I love Coach Izzo," said Alexander of Michigan State. "The coaching staff is great, the players are great, I love the campus, I just love it."
Another school with a connection to Alexander is Indiana. Alexander and current commitment Trey Lyles are close friends and Lyles is trying to get Alexander to take a strong look at the Hoosiers.
"It is a great facility and I love Coach Tom Crean," stated Alexander. "Also my best friend has committed there, Trey Lyles. Trey says he loves it down there."
For now though Alexander says he is in no hurry to make any kind of decision. He currently intends to wait and make official visits before making his choice.
