McCullough gears up for AAU season

After a strong sophomore campaign, Chris McCullough, a highly regarded 2014 prospect is gearing up for AAU season.

Last summer Chris McCullough put his name on the map.

A 6-foot-9, 210-pound power forward out of Salisbury (Conn.) School, McCullough built his national profile playing for Terrence "Munch" Williams on Team Scan.

This time around, McCullough hopes to show improvement on the travel team circuit.

"Hopefully we will be good this year," McCullough said. "We just need to keep working."

McCullough averaged 14 points and grabbed 11 rebounds per game during his sophomore season.

"I wanted to win championship and that's exactly what we did," he told

McCullough already has a long list of schools involved in his recruitment. He currently claims scholarship offers from St. John's, Syracuse, Memphis, Iowa State, Temple, Rutgers, Providence, Miami, Florida, Arizona and West Virginia.

"I'm going to cut my list down to a top five," he said. "Probably like next month."

He's already taken visits to St. John's, Syracuse, Rutgers, Providence and Iowa State.

McCullough and Team Scan will play in of the Hall of Fame Championship Series this weekend. The second evaluation weekend in April, they'll play in the Philly Jam Fest.
