At 6-foot-8 and 255 pounds, Parker is one of the best low post scoring and rebounding options in the class. He started getting recruiting attention before he entered high school, and now he is one of the final pieces in a huge class for UCLA.
In front of his friends, family, and classmates at Miller Grove, Parker took the microphone and announced his commitment to UCLA. The commitment to the Bruins was over Georgia, Duke, Memphis, Ohio State, Kansas, and numerous others.
Leading the recruitment for UCLA was Bruin assistant coach Korey McCray. McCray is an Atlanta native and worked training Parker during the early part of his high school career. Parker's relationship and comfort with McCray along with the tradition of UCLA led to the commitment.
