Tre'Shaun Lexing, a 2013 forward out of Washington, had flown a bit below the radar prior to this past weekend in Las Vegas. But that changed with his performance in the Adidas VIP tournament...
Tre'Shaun Lexing, 6-6 JR PF/SF Tacoma (Wash.) Lincoln, is a very versatile prospect. He's got the ball skills to play small forward, but the size to possibly play the four. He's an above average athlete, with a very good frame, a nice stroke to the stripe and excellent vision/passing ability. We'll call him a four for now, as that may be the position he ultimately defends, but he has three-man ball skills.
I spoke with Lexing in Las Vegas and asked about the schools recruiting him.
"Washington State, Cal Poly, Santa Clara, Gonzaga and North Carolina State have been the main ones," said Lexing.
"They've all offered except for North Carolina State."
I asked Lexing if he has a leader at this time.
"Washington State," said Lexing. "I like how they get up and have freedom for their guards."
When asked what factors will be important in making his college choice, Lexing replied, "I want to make sure I'm welcome and that I can play right away."
Lexing said he has yet to take any unofficial visits, but he has been to games at Gonzaga, Washington State and Washington.
Lexing has a time frame in mind for picking a school.
"I want to do it at the beginning of my senior year," said Lexing.
Lexing said he has a 3.0 GPA.
