LeVert planning visits

Right now former Ohio University signee Caris LeVert is one of the hottest commodities in the Midwest.

Now that he is out of his letter of intent at Ohio University, Caris LeVert is in the process of setting up visits. The 6-foot-5 scoring guard from Pickerington (Ohio) Central has three visits ready to go, and several others in the process of being planned.

According to LeVert's high school coach Jerry Francis, the three-star guard who has made tremendous strides in the last year is really beginning to focus in on what he is looking for.

"It is mostly the Big 10 and the Atlantic 10 right now, but he is focused on this part of the country right now," said Francis.

Up next for LeVert is an unofficial visit to Dayton, then he will visit Purdue and Michigan next week.

"We have some visits planned here soon," said Francis. "He wants to visit all of them if he could. The schools that have opportunities would be the Atlantic 10 ones in the state with Xavier and Dayton. The Big Ten schools as far as Purdue, Michigan, Iowa has interest, and Illinois has been talking as well."

The plan currently is for LeVert to make a decision fairly quickly, but not until he goes through the visit process. When on the visits a few factors will be very important to him as he is evaluating all of the schools.

"Academically he wants to definitely focus on that," Francis explained. "At first we talked about him working his way in and becoming bigger and stronger. Now after winning a state title, he wants to play early and challenge himself against the best."

For now it is visits, and then after that process has been completed look for Francis, LeVert, and his mother to sit down and decide which school is best for him.
