Early Leaders For Terrence Williams
Terrence Williams, 6-5 JR SG Seattle (Wash.) Rainier Beach, is a very good athlete with a live body and three-point range on his shot. With development, he projects to being one of the elite guards in the west for 2005. We spoke with Williams recently and asked if had started to form a list of potential schools. Williams said, "Arizona, USC, Oregon and Washington are the main ones. I'd like to stay in the west or Pac-10." When we asked if any school stood out in particular, Williams replied, "Arizona. They've been calling my coach every other week. But the other ones are very close. Purdue, UCLA and Long Beach have also been sending me stuff." We asked Williams what he's looking for in a college and he said, "I don't want any coach who is going to tell me stuff like I'm going to start right away -- I want an honest coach. A good program. Playing time right away doesn't matter. If the coach decides I'm good enough, then I'll play." Williams said it's possible he'll make an early decision. "I have time to think about it, but I'd like to do it early -- possbily before next summer," said Williams. Williams said he'd like to take a trip to Arizona and Oregon. Grades won't be an issue, according to Williams. "I'm doing good academically," said Williams.
