On Friday the Henderson (Nev.) Findlay Prep standout informed Scout.com that he's cut Florida from contention and is down to the three schools he's taken unofficial visits to – Oregon, UNLV and Kentucky.
Just prior to narrowing his list, Bennett stopped by UNLV with his mother, who was in town for his graduation at Findlay Prep.
"It was one of the best visits I've had," Bennett told Scout.com. "I just got real close with the coaches there. My mom said she liked it and the campus was great."
"[I like] the coaches and how they look out for me," Bennett added about UNLV. "They told me how everything would be if I went here and I felt like I've developed a good relationship with them."
Bennett visited Oregon a few weeks ago and came away with a strong impression on their facilities.
"I went there when I was in Portland for the Hoop Summit," he said. "It was cool. I liked the facilities. They were nice. It was raining a lot, so we couldn't do much, but other than it was cool."
Kentucky had Bennett on campus in November and their playing style and how they handle their players is one of the reasons he's considering the Wildcats.
"They make you play your game and they want you to be successful," he said about Kentucky. "I think if I went there it would be pretty nice."
Bennett, a five-star prospect, is planning to finalize his college decision within the next two weeks.
Bennett is the highest regarded uncommitted prospect in the 2012 class. He ranks No. 8 overall in the 2012 recruiting class.
