Last week Pitino and his staff at FIU picked up 6-foot-3 guard Diamante Lewis, who averaged 28.4 points a game at Ocala (Fla.) Lake Weir. Then on Wednesday, FIU scored a commitment from Jerome Frink.
Frink, a standout at Jersey City (N.J.) St. Anthony's, also considered St. Bonaventure, Hofstra, Iona and others.
"I think it's the best fit for me and I got along with the staff and the players and I can make an impact," Frink told Scout.com when asked about his decision.
A 6-foot-6, 200-pound power forward, Frink, alongside Kyle Anderson, helped led St. Anthony's to two straight New Jersey Tournament of Champions titles.
Frink was a First Team All-State selection, while averaging 10 points and 5.8 rebounds a game.
