Flyers go north of Border

Dayton adds a fourth member to their 2012 recruiting class.

Head Coach Archie Miller is loading back up the roster at the University of Dayton. Only a week after adding a highly regarded transfer in Jordan Sibert, the Flyers added another wing to the mix on Monday.

Canadian product Dyshawn Pierre selected the Flyers over a variety of other schools according to sources. Others in consideration included St. Bonaventure, New Mexico State, Santa Clara, and Duquesne.

At nearly 6-foot-6, Pierre played a strong role on the Canadian national team last summer, and also was very solid for CIA Bounce who qualified for the Peach Jam.

Pierre is a do it all wing who likes to get to the rim, and also has the ability to knock down shots from the mid-range.

Joining Pierre in the Flyers class are early signees Devon Scott and Jalen Robinson as well as point guard Khari Price who pledged two weeks ago.
