Woodson keeps improving

The class of 2013 is lacking a lot of depth on the post. However the development of Dominic Woodson has been impressive.

Last July Dominic Woodson exploded onto the scene down in Orlando. Now the 6-foot-10 big man continues to prove his worth on the EYBL circuit with Texas PRO. The huge center keeps on getting better, and his recruitment continues to pick up.

"I think I am playing pretty good," said Woodson of his spring. "I know I can do better, but I think I am playing pretty well right now."

After blowing up on the scene last year, Woodson says he has gotten a lot better over the course of the past year.

"My game has developed a lot," explained Woodson. "I am able to get off floor a bit better than before, I am shooting the ball better, and just overall I am able to do a lot of things I wasn't able to do last year."

Recruiting wise, several schools have really picked up the interest in Woodson.

"Louisville, Oklahoma, Baylor, North Carolina State, TCU, and schools like that," he listed.

Even though Woodson currently has his roots in Austin, Texas, he is originally from Louisville. Because of that he is honored to be hearing from the Cardinals.

"I like Louisville," he said. "I think Rick Pitino is a good coach. It feels good for my hometown school to be coming at me like they are."

Another school coming after him very hard is NC State. The Wolfpack are looking for a big in the 2013 class, and Woodson is one of their top priorities.

"I like NC State," said Woodson. "They have a good coaching staff. They are coming at me really hard."

At the moment Woodson says he is in no hurry to select a school, but he does have a pretty good idea of what he will be looking for in a program.

"I am just looking for a school that will get me on the court as a freshman and help me get better," said Woodson.

Currently Woodson is ranked No. 53 in the nation, but he could definitely be in line for a solid bump in the rankings when they are next updated.
