Robinson to Indiana

Stanford Robinson became Indiana's fourth 2013 commitment on Wednesday. He talks to Scout.com about his commitment.

Indiana has added to its 2013 recruiting class, landing a commitment from 6-foot-3, 175-pound Fairfax (Va.) Paul VI shooting guard Stanford Robinson. He informed Scout.com of his decision.

"Today I committed to Indiana," Robinson said. "When I went on the visit I just fell in love with the campus. Me and coach (Tom) Crean hit it off. He told me his plan and I agreed with it and then the additional benefit was coach (Kenny) Johnson being there and we are really close."

The relationship Robinson had with Johnson, who previously coached the rising senior at Paul VI, was a big part of the decision.

"Me and coach Johnson could be brothers," Robinson said. "He was the one that recruited me to Paul VI in 8th grade. Ever since then we have been close. I just trust him 100 percent."

Robinson had recently narrowed down his school list to Indiana, Texas, Rutgers, Villanova and Maryland, and on Wednesday made the call to Indiana's coaching staff pledging to the Hoosiers.

He previously turned down offers from Georgetown, Miami, North Carolina State, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest and Xavier.

The four-star prospect is rated 52nd in Scout.com's 2013 recruiting class, coming in as the 9th rated shooting guard.

Robinson joins forwards Collin Hartman, Devin Davis and Luke Fischer in Indiana's 2013 recruiting class.

He's excited about his future in Indiana.

"Hoosier Nation," Robinson said, "I love it."
