Chris Sandifer Update

Chris Sandier's progress was slowed a bit by a transfer this past season, but he's still hearing from a number of high major programs...

Chris Sandifer, 6-3 SO SG Gardena (Calif.) Serra, is a very promising prospect with a considerable upside. His development was slowed some after a transfer this year from Price High, but he's got a very good basketball body, a sweet stroke with deep range and considerable athleticism.

I spoke with Sandifer recently and asked about the schools he's heard from to date.

"Arizona, Utah, Colorado, Notre Dame, LSU and Washington State are some of them," said Sandifer.

When asked if any schools stand out for him, Sandifer replied, "Arizona and Washington State."

Sandifer talked a little about the factors that will be important to his decision.

"The location – I'd kind of like to stay out west," said Sandifer. "I want a coach that lets me play my game, but also someone that will tell me what I'm doing wrong and help me get better."

Sandifer has yet to visit any schools, but he's talking with coaches about setting up visits.

"Arizona and Utah have said they want me to come visit," said Sandifer.

Sandifer said he has a 2.9 GPA.
