Leader for Lewis
Marcus Lewis, 6-6 SR PF Long Beach (Calif.) Poly, has toned up his body in the last couple months and the extra work has paid dividends on the court. Lewis is quicker, and more agile, than he was in the spring and he's played very well in the June high school events. We spoke with Lewis yesterday and he told us that San Diego State, Washington, Portland and Oregon have been calling him recently. When we asked if any school stood out from the group, Lewis said, "San Diego State -- I like their program." Lewis plans on taking his official visits in August. We asked when he thought he'd make a decision and he said, "Probably right after the trips -- sometime in September." Lewis said his GPA is 3.8 and he scored 1120 on the SAT.
