"It's pretty much Iowa State and Virginia," Thomas told Scout.com. "I just think those are two of the best fits for me. Both have great coaches. I've really gotten to know them and build relationships with them."
"My heart has kind of lead me to this," the Onalaska (Wisc.) High standout added. "Deep down that's what I felt was right."
Although he has his list to two schools, Thomas, a 6-foot-4 guard, isn't sure when he will come up with his final choice.
"I'm not sure when I'll decide," he said. "I thought about maybe playing in July and seeing what happens then, but I also thought about wrapping it up in the next couple of weeks, but I'm not sure."
"It could be in the next week, a couple of weeks or in a month," Thomas added. "I really don't know."
Thomas has taken visits to both of his finalists and isn't planning to take any more trips.
"I don't think so," he said when asked about taking more visits. "Nothing is planned. I've been out to Virginia and I've been to Iowa State. I think it's more of just me sitting down with my family and talking about it and figuring out the best fit."
In July, Thomas will continue to run with the Wisconsin Playmakers. Thomas said they'll participate in both NY2LA events and will make the trip to Las Vegas in late July.
