Jefferson cuts list, sets decision date

Five-star forward Rondae Jefferson has cut his list of schools. Who is still in contention?

Rondae Jefferson has narrowed his list of schools to seven.

According to Team Final coach Rob Brown, Jefferson is now only considering Florida, Syracuse, Temple, Memphis, Rutgers, Arizona and Texas.

Brown informed that all seven of the schools involved have offered Jefferson, a standout at Chester (Pa.) High. To date, Jefferson has visited three of the schools involved.

"He's taken a couple of day trips," Brown told "He's been to Temple a bunch of times because of his brother (Rahlir Hollis-Jefferson). I know he's been to a slew of home games and away games. He follows his brother around."

"He took a ride over to Rutgers maybe the 11th or 12th," Brown added. "Then he went up to Syracuse the following day."

Jefferson,'s No. 11 overall prospect, is planning to take official visits later in the year.

"Once his senior season starts he'll take his official visits to the far away ones," Brown said.

Brown said Jefferson is planning to make his college decision on his birthday, which is January 3rd.
