Hall commits to Virginia, reclassifies

Devon Hall made two big decisions late Saturday night. On Sunday the talented guard made them both official.

Devon Hall had intentions of waiting until after the July AAU circuit to cut down his list and making a college choice, but that quickly changed.

Sunday morning Hall, a 6-foot-4 guard out of Virginia Beach (Va.) Cape Henry Collegiate, committed to Virginia and Tony Bennett.

"I was going to wait until after the AAU season and narrow my list down," Hall told Scout.com. "That just seemed like the place for me. My brother is going there for football and it's great fit for my family."

To go with his commitment to Virginia, Hall is also planning to reclassify to the 2013 recruiting class.

"They really need a point guard in the class of 2013," Hall said. "It was up in the air. I was up there at the camp yesterday."

Hall said he didn't have any reservations about switching classes.

"No, especially not there because I had a shot to come in right away and play and play immediately," Hall said.

Hall is Virginia's first commitment for the 2013 recruiting class. Hall is regarded as a four-star prospect.
