Big offers for Peters

Four-star point guard Roddy Peters picked up some big offers on Monday following an impressive showing during the first July evaluation period.

The blowup of Roddy Peters from Forestville (Md.) Suitland is officially complete. After a strong showing at the NBPA Top 100 Camp he repeated his performance at the Reebok Breakout Camp, and now offers are really coming his way.

Coming into July he held an offer from Xavier with interest from numerous schools such as Cincinnati, Maryland, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Memphis, and Georgetown. Now that interest has turned into offers.

According to DC Assault AAU Coach Damon Handon, Peters picked up a quartet of new offers following the first evaluation period.

"Roddy has been offered by Maryland, Georgetown, UCLA, and Memphis," reported Handon.

Peters recently made a trip to Georgetown where he was able to play open gym with the team. Also in the past he has been to Maryland where he has take in the campus and spoken with the coaching staff.

In the future Peters plans to make a visit to Xavier, though that won't come until following the July evaluation period.

Currently the 6-foot-4 Peters is ranked as the No. 73 prospect in the country, though that could change with more impressive showings during the month of July.
