Beitinger's List of Five
We spoke with Jake Beitinger, 6-8 SR PF Port Orchard (Wash.) South Kitsap, last night and asked him about the schools that were calling him in the last couple weeks. "Utah, Washington State, Pepperdine, Oregon and Stanford," said Beitinger. When we asked if it was fair to call those schools his top five, Beitinger replied, "yeah -- that's fair." Beitinger said no school leads at the moment and he's still trying to gauge the level of interest from each school. Beitinger told us that there are a few factors at work in his decision-making process. "I'd like to play in the Pac-10," said Beitinger. "But I also want to play for a good coach. So a guy like Coach Majerus, who is a great coach, might offset playing in the Pac-10." He hasn't taken any official visits yet, but has visited Washington St. unofficially. Beitinger told us that he has a 3.5 GPA and scored 1000 on the SAT. He plans on signing in the fall.
