Top Two For Bailey

Isaiah Bailey, one of the elite wings in the west for 2014, says two schools from the Mountain West and Pac-12 stand out for him at this time...

Isaiah Bailey, 6-4 JR SG Compton (Calif.) High, is one of the elite wing prospects in the west for 2014. An electrifying athlete, Bailey has a nice shot with range to the stripe. He needs to work on his handle and ball skills overall, but he's got a very high upside.

I spoke with Bailey recently and he gave me a list of schools that have been in touch with him.

"I'm hearing from Oklahoma, UNLV, Oregon State, USC, UCLA and a little bit from Arizona," said Bailey.

When asked if any schools stand out for him at this time, Bailey said "I like UNLV and Arizona right now."

I asked Bailey if he has a sense for which schools have been on him the hardest.

"UNLV, Oklahoma and USC have been on me the hardest," said Bailey.

I asked Bailey what he's looking for in a school.

"The education and great coaching," said Bailey. "I'm looking to go somewhere that they can help me reach my dream, which is to play in the NBA. The location doesn't really matter to me; I'm willing to go east if that's where the best school is for me."

Bailey said he doesn't really have a firm time frame in mind for choosing a school.

"Just sometime before my senior year," said Bailey.

Bailey said he has a 3.1 GPA.
