Muhammad's Recruitment Expanding

Rashad Muhammad, a talented 2013 wing from Las Vegas, has seen his recruitment expand recently...

Rashad Muhammad, 6-4 SR SG Las Vegas (Nev.) Bishop Gorman, is a slender wing with a very accurate stroke to three-point range. He's not the same kind of athlete that his older brother Shabazz is, but he is a nice prospect in his own right.

I spoke with Muhammad recently and asked about the schools that are recruiting him.

"USC, SMU, San Diego State, Colorado, UTEP, Drake, Missouri, Texas A&M and Maryland," said Muhammad.

When asked which schools have offered, Muhammad replied, "all of them except Drake and Missouri."

I asked Muhammad what he's looking for in a school.

"A playing style where I fit in," said Muhammad. "A good relationship with the coach and early playing time most definitely."

Muhammad said he has taken unofficial visits to USC and San Diego State.

"I liked USC a lot," said Muhammad. "I liked the campus and Galen is beautiful. And with San Diego State, the weather was perfect and it's a beautiful campus."

I asked Muhammad if he sees himself making an early decision or if he could possibly wait until spring.

"I could wait until spring," said Muhammad. "I want to take the process slowly and make sure I make the right decision."

Muhammad said he has a 3.0 GPA.
