"It turned out real big," Booker told Scout.com. "I finally got to the stage I was working hard for and I go to work with my dad and that helped me a lot throughout the summer."
"It's going good," he said of the recruiting process. "I'm just taking everything in. Me and my dad have talked a little about cutting the list down because it's getting a little out of control."
This weekend Booker, a 6-foot-5 sharp shooter out of Moss Point (Miss.) High, will head to Michigan State for an unofficial visit.
"I've been up there for a game, but I haven't been up there for real visit," Booker said of Michigan State.
"With Michigan State, I just grew up around it living up in Michigan," he said. "I've watched a lot of their games and I've been to a lot for their games."
Although Booker, whose father Melvin Booker played at Missouri, doesn't have any other visit dates set, he said he wants to take future trips to Mississippi and Alabama.
"For now, I just like them all," he said about the schools recruiting him. "I want a chance to visit all the schools that are recruiting me."
Booker, a four-star recruit, is rated the No. 3 shooting guard and the No. 19 overall prospect in the 2014 class.
