Hart trims his list

Four-star small forward Josh Hart has trimmed down his school list.

Four-star wing Josh Hart had an excellent summer running with Team Takeover. Now Hart, who can play a number of different positions, has narrowed his school list down to seven.

"I just narrowed down my list," said Hart. "Seven schools have made the cut. They are Rutgers, Villanova, Miami, Arizona, Memphis, Penn State, and Cincinnati.

At 6-foot-5 and 180 pounds, Hart is ranked as the No. 16 small forward in the country and No. 86 overall. He spoke about what each of the seven schools brings to the table on his list.

Rutgers - I liked the coaching staff, and looking on their roster I saw they have a couple guards, but with me being my size and kind of versatile I would be able to get on the court.

Villanova - With my versatility ebing able to play the two or the three, and maybe in their offense the four at times, I think that could work. I also really like the coaching staff with Coach Martin and Coach Wright.

Miami - Coach Larranaga seems like a really high character coach. Also he has had a lot of success at George Mason. I know they have three guards graduating this year. I feel like I could get good playing time as a freshman.

Arizona - About a week ago we really got the ball rolling with them. Coach Book (Richardson) told me who they have on the roster and I think I could use my versatility well. I could play the three my freshman year, and then after that play both the two and the three in their style of play.

Memphis - Coach Collins, I have known him for about a year since he was recruiting me at Marquette. I have a pretty good relationship with him. Looking at their roster they have a lot of guards, but no one really my size. I know I could go in and rebound and guard a big wing on the other team.

Penn State - I really like the coaching staff. It is one of the best coaching staffs that I know. There is a lot going on around the school so that is a little question mark about findings, but I want to see the school and learn more about it.

Cincinnati - I think their style of play is a good fit for me. The major question mark would be their roster. If I was a freshman there they would have five or six guards at my position. Still their style of play could be a good fit.

The next step for Hart is to set up visits, and he already has a few in mind.

"I want to visit all of them, but my official visits will probably be Rutgers, Villanova, Arizona, Miami, and Memphis," said Hart.

He continued, "I am not sure right of the dates right now. Me and my parents want to sit down and then talk to the coaches and figure out the best time for them."
