Evan Harris Update
With a 3.5 GPA and 1290 SAT score, Evan Harris, 6-8 SR PF North Hollywood (Calif.) Harvard-Westlake, is getting hit hard by most of the Ivy League. However, Harris's choices aren't limited to the East Coast. Loyola Marymount, San Diego, Rice and San Francisco are all in pursuit of the long and lean young post player. Harris told us that academics are going to weigh heavily in his choice. "I want to go to a school with very good academics," said Harris. "So the Ivy schools are right there. Right now, Yale, Princeton, Brown and Columbia are probably the ones that stand out. But I'm interested in the others as well." It's possible that Harris will not sign in the fall. "Hopefully, I'll sign in the early period," said Harris. "But I could definitely wait if I don't find the right fit." Harris will play in the Big Time and the Best of Summer.
