Casey Benson, 6-3 JR PG Tempe (Ariz.) Corona Del Sol, is a very talented prospect with the ability to knock down shots and make his teammates better. He's another high level prospect in the outstanding West Coast class of point guards in 2014.

I spoke with Benson recently and he gave me a list of schools that have been recruiting him.

"Oregon, Oregon State, San Francisco, Arizona State, St. Mary's, Colorado, USC and Boston College have offered," said Benson. "Stanford is very interested and they've been recruiting me hard. Oklahoma and Virginia have also been recruiting me."

I asked Benson if any school stands out for him.

"No, I don't really have a favorite yet," said Benson. "I like all the schools that are recruiting me right now."

Benson talked a little about the issues he will consider when it comes time to pick a school.

"The style of play and a good relationship with the coaching staff," said Benson. "I want to go somewhere that I get along with the players and the style of play fits me."

Benson has visited Stanford, Colorado, St. Mary's, Gonzaga and Arizona State. He said he plans on taking some more unofficial visits in the fall.

"I'm going to be visiting Oregon, St. Mary's and Virginia in the fall," said Benson.

Benson said he has a 3.9 GPA.
