Hokies nab post grad

The Virginia Tech Hokies picked up a high upside class of 2013 commitment on Tuesday.

The Virginia Tech Hokies and Head Coach James Johnson were in search of size for their 2013 class, and they got some on Wednesday. Indianapolis native Trevor Thompson picked the Hokies.

Thompson announced on his twitter account his commitment to Virginia Tech. At 6-foot-10 with good athleticism and the ability to block shots, Thompson began to emerge as a senior at Ben Davis High School, and then again picked up his play over the summer with the Eric Gordon All-Stars.

Before the summer Thompson was receiving mostly mid-major interest, however that changed with a strong performance at the Adidas Invitational during the July evaluation period.

For his post graduate year he will attend Delafield (WI) St. John's Northwestern Military Academy.
