Jones makes his pick

Chris Jones picked Louisville early Monday morning. The top rated Junior College standout will play in the Big East.

Chris Jones found his fit.

The Northwest Florida Junior College standout committed to Louisville just a day after returning home from his official visit.

NW Florida coach Steve Forbes confirmed the news to Scout.com.

"He committed to coach Pitino and Louisville about five minutes ago," Forbes told Scout.com.

Jones, who played his high school ball at Memphis (Tenn.) Melrose, is a major pick up for Louisville. He was a top 100 prospect coming out of high school and is regarded as the top Junior College player in the country by JUCO scouts.

Jones is Louisville's third commitment of the 2013 recruiting class. He joins top 100 combo guard Terry Rozier and the No. 26 prospect in the class Anton Gill to make up their current class.

Prior to committing to Louisville, Jones had taken official visits to Oklahoma State and Baylor. Kansas and Florida State were also scheduled to have him in for official visits.
