Four Stand Out For Gaynor

Darryl Gaynor, a junior combo guard from Las Vegas, tells us that schools from the Pac-12, WCC and Big 12 stand out for him right now...

Darryl Gaynor, 6-2 JR PG/SG Las Vegas (Nev.) Palo Verde, is a very athletic prospect with a chance to play either guard spot at the next level.

I spoke with Gaynor recently and asked about the schools that have been expressing interest in him.

"I'm hearing from Arizona State, Utah State, San Francisco, Oklahoma, Detroit, Weber State, Portland and Northern Arizona," said Gaynor. "Northern Arizona has offered."

I asked Gaynor if any schools stand out for him at this time.

"I'm really interested in Arizona State, Portland, USF and Oklahoma," said Gaynor.

Gaynor talked a little about the things he's looking for in a school.

"I want to go to a school that plays defense, and play up-tempo where they get out and run," said Gaynor. "I'd like to go somewhere that I can see myself living after college."

Gaynor has yet to take any unofficial visits.

"I've been talking with most of the coaches about taking visits," said Gaynor. "But I think I will take some visits after my season is over."

Gaynor said he has a 3.0 GPA.
