The top 10 recruit out of Michigan recently narrowed his list of schools down to Kentucky, Michigan State, Kansas and Syracuse. Young's Godfather -- Sean Mahone -- confirmed he will announce his college intentions on Thursday.
Young took a visit to Kentucky the weekend of September 29th. His Godfather told Scout.com shortly following the trip that the trip went as planned.
"It went well," Mahone said. "It really did. It was very impressive. We had an opportunity to witness first hand the quality of the program and the quality of the campus and how organized they are."
"The facilities are exceptional," Mahone added. "The administers and the academic support that they have available to support the players is top notch. It's a well oiled machine."
Mahone told Scout.com that they had intentions to visit Michigan State in the near future, but a source informed Scout.com that the MSU visit never happened and that the Spartans pulled out of his recruitment.
Neither Kansas, nor Syracuse received a college visit from Young. Kentucky is considered to the be strong favorite to land Young.
Young, a five-star prospect, is ranked No. 9 overall in Scout.com's 2013 player rankings.
