Wright Ends The Process In A Hurry

ORLANDO, Fla. – One of the hottest names in college basketball recruiting appears to be off the list of available players. BlueChipHoops.com has learned that SF Antoine Wright called one lucky head coach and let him know that he's coming to campus in the fall of 2002.

Wright To Texas A&M

Antoine Wright, a standout small forward, committed to Texas A&M on July 31, according to our sources. Wright is currently playing in a tournament in California and could not be reached for comment.

Last week, Wright was the toast of Las Vegas the opening day of the Big Time when he unleashed a barrage of 3s that kept his name dominating water cooler conversations all week. We had heard that Arizona and Virginia were strong but as it turns out, the Aggies knew something no one else did: Wright wanted to go to Texas A&M all along and he was growing tired of the process.

He'll bring athleticism and a 3-point stroke in the form of a 6-7 frame to A&M. He's one of the best recruits Melvin Watkins has signed as a head coach.
