The hottest player on the west coast this summer has been Hassan Adams, 6-4 SR SG, Los Angeles (Calif.) Westchester. Even though most scouts on the west coast knew how good Adams was, it took the July evaluation period for the rest of the country – scouts and college coaches alike – to realize it.
Adams now has a pretty nice laundry list of schools he's considering as a result. "I like Cal, Arizona, Kansas, Tennessee, Mississippi, Boston College, Seton Hall, Connecticut, Arizona State and San Diego State," Adams said. "Oh, and I forgot, I like UCLA. They're near the top."
Who is, well, at the top? "I don't have a leader," Adams said. "I have a lot of schools I'm interested in and I'll have to find out about all of them. I plan on taking all of my official visits."
Adams also said that he will more than likely wait until the fall signing period before he commits. "I really want to make sure it's the best opportunity for me. If something happened, something was the right opportunity I could maybe commit early. But I think I'll need all the time to make the decision."
