Big Ten schools visit Richmond

JaQuel Richmond had a pair of Big Ten schools at his game on Tuesday and he'll take a visit to one of them this weekend.

JaQuel Richmond's junior season is off to a perfect start.

"We made it 6-0 tonight," Richmond said shortly after his Tuesday night win.

"I'm doing good," the 6-foot, 165-pound guard added. "I'm dishing it off to my players and getting everyone involved and starting to score at the end."

A four-star prospect and the No. 11 lead guard in the 2014 class, Richmond is quick and elusive in transition, but Richmond said his best attributes is getting into the paint.

"Getting to the hole with no problem and coming up off the pick and hitting jump shots," Richmond said when describing his game.

Through six games, Richmond is averaging 10 points and six assists.

Richmond had a pair of schools at his game on Tuesday.

"Indiana and Ohio State came and watched me play tonight," he told "I'm supposed to take a visit to Ohio State this Saturday. It'll be my last unofficial visit."

"IU just started recruiting me," he added about his recruitment. "Ohio State is coming at me hard. Wake Forest is coming at me hard and so is Tennessee, Texas A&M and Houston."

Richmond said he currently doesn't have a favorite.

"I have another AAU season to play hard and get more offers," Richmond said. "Then I'll probably make my top five next August."

Richmond is ranked as the No. 51 prospect in the 2014 class.
