Aaron Taking Visit

Shaqquan Aaron, a very talented junior wing out of Washington, has a visit coming up this weekend...

Shaqquan Aaron, 6-5 JR SG Seattle (Wash.) Rainier Beach, is one of the most talented prospects in his class. He's got a prototype wing body, with a very high skill level, and perhaps the biggest upside of any West Coast prospect in 2014.

I spoke with Aaron recently and asked him about the schools that are recruiting him.

"I'm hearing a lot from Louisville, Kansas, Kentucky, UConn, the whole Pac-12, UNLV and Gonzaga," said Aaron.

When asked if he has any visits planned, Aaron said, "I'm taking an official visit to Louisville on Saturday."

Aaron said he doesn't plan on taking any more official visits until after the summer.

I asked Aaron if he has a sense for which schools are recruiting him the hardest.

"They're all recruiting me really hard right now," said Aaron. "I'm going to Louisville because they've been on me really hard, but so has UCLA, UNLV, Gonzaga…they're all coming to my games. But everyone is recruiting me pretty hard."

Aaron talked a little about the factors he will consider when choosing a school.

"Someplace where I feel like I fit in and have a good relationship with the coach," said Aaron. "Good academics are important. The location doesn't really matter. As far as early playing time, everyone looks at depth charts, but I really just want someplace where I fit in."

Aaron said he has a 4.0 GPA this year.
