Arizona offers Morgan

Dwayne Morgan picked up an offer from Arizona over the weekend and is working to set up visits to the Wildcats and Indiana.

A new school is showing interest in 2014 five-star forward Dwayne Morgan.

Sean Miller and Arizona offered Morgan a scholarship over the weekend. The new offer has Morgan contemplating a trip to Tucson (Ariz.) in the spring.

"I talked with his mother and they have communicated with her a lot and they have offered," Dwayne Wise, Morgan's travel team coach said. "From my understanding she was really impressed with some of the things that they were saying."

"I know she definitely told them after the school year that she would think about coming for a visit," Wise added. "They really want to get him on campus bad."

Wise said Morgan and his family liked Miller's pitch.

"Sean Miller seems to be a class act," he said. "He mentioned that he loved that Dwayne could defend. Dwayne takes pride on the defensive end."

Morgan was planning to visit Indiana in the near future as well. Possible visit dates to IU and Arizona are up in the air due to his high school schedule.

"It's so hectic now because their season has been extended he doesn't have much time to do too much because AAU starts in April," Wise said.

"I just think what's going to happen is right after the season, I think she'll probably start planning one more trip in before the circuit starts."

To go with interest from Indiana and Arizona, UNLV, Maryland, Georgetown, Connecticut and South Florida are also involved. UNLV recently had him on campus for a visit.

"He was wowed by the atmosphere," Wise said. "Anthony Bennett might have been his host. He was very excited. He met Jerry Tarkanian. Stacey Augmon is a big seller, being that he played that position."

Morgan is ranked No. 15 overall in the 2014 class.
