Jordan to wait until April to make choice

Rysheed Jordan is down to three schools -- Temple, St. John's and UCLA -- but he won't make his college choice until mid-April.

Rysheed Jordan, one of the six prospects still available in's 2013 top 100, isn't rushing his college choice.

"It's really the same as before," Philly Pride coach Kamal Yard told "Nothing has really changed. It's still Temple, Saint John's and UCLA."

According to Yard, Jordan, a standout at Philadelphia (Pa.) Vaux Roberts, will look to make his decision sometime in mid-April.

"Right now he's in the midst of a classic run with his high school team," he said. "He's got the city in a frenzy. Basically as soon as the season is over sometime in the spring, maybe sometime in the middle of April he'll have his decision."

"He's going to wait and see what is going on with the coaching situation," Yard added.

On the court, Jordan is having success. Yard said he's shown significant improvement, especially in his jump shot.

"He's gotten so much better since the summer time," Yard said. "I think a lot of it was fueled off him not getting into the Elite 24 game. He started taking this stuff a little more serious and has a chip on his shoulder."

"The first thing you notice when you see him is his shooting ability," he said. "He's gotten in so much work on his shot, he's shooting the ball well. He's an athletic, aggressive driver that can get to the rim, but now you have to come out to 22-feet and get on him."

Jordan is ranked No. 53 overall in the 2013 top 100.
