Croaker decommits from Murray State

Demarcus Croaker is no longer committed to Murray State. He decommitted and set up a visit to a Big 12 school on Wednesday.

Demarcus Croaker and Murray State parted ways on Wednesday.

Croaker, a standout at Orlando (Fla.) Jones, confirmed the decommitment news to Scout.com.

"I wanted to take my visits and I committed to Murray State on my first visit and I feel like I made my decision way too early," Croaker said. "I want to see what other schools have out there."

Croaker said there's currently one other school involved in his recruitment.

"Just Texas for now until others start coming in," Croaker said when asked about his recruitment.

Croaker has already planned a visit to Texas. He'll head to Austin (Tex.) on Sunday and stay through Tuesday. He'll get to see the Longhorns take on Baylor while he's in town.

A 6-foot-3 guard, Croaker is rated as a three-star prospect in the 2013 class.
