Anderson's Been On The Mark
"I knew that I wanted the ball. No guts no glory." Rashad Anderson said in describing his knack for hitting big shots, especially in July.
Anderson, a 6-4/180 shooting guard from Lakeland (FL) Kathleen, gunned down more than his fair share of teams last month. He hit a game-winner in Texas and one in Orlando for the Tallahassee Wildcats.
Since then, he's seen his recruitment really take off. Right now, he lists St. John's, UConn, Tennessee, Alabama, Auburn and Florida as schools that are interested in him. A winner could emerge from a group that includes UConn, Tennessee, Alabama and St. John's.
He plans on taking his official visits before making a decision. Schools starts Thursday at Kathleen so he can really begin to get moving in the direction of taking some visits.
Anderson not only was stellar in Orlando, but he teamed with Evan Burns at Nike to do some damage as well. "I worked hard. I was working on my ball handling and everything. I didn't know how big [a summer I would have] but I figured I was going to be successful."
Anderson has a 3.3 GPA and is very close on the ACT; he's only taken it once. "I need to go somewhere that I know in about two years I can so wrecking."
