Augustine Likes Five Schools

James Augustine, a Top 100 prospect who plays with Illinois Gold, says that he's down to five schools. Augustine is hoping to take a pair of unofficial visits this months, including one later this week.

Augustine Likes Five

James Augustine, a 6-9/215 PF from New Lenox (IL) Lincoln Way, had a fine summer and as a result, he's been able to solidify his list of schools and knock it down to five programs.

Illinois, Purdue, Ohio State, Wake Forest and Notre Dame comprise his short list. Augustine said that he has plans to visit Illinois Thursday of this week. He also has plans to visit Notre Dame later this month, though that date has yet to be determined. "I'll probably commit early, but I don't know when," Augustine said.

He's made improvements since the spring, but says he has a long way to go. "I think I played well. Good sometimes and bad at other times with a lot more stuff to improve on."

Augustine says that there are a few important factors in reaching a decision. "The environment; how the team works and what offense they run. Academics and where I fit in is what I am looking for."
