Four doing the most early work on Kimble

The Philadelphia area always seems to produce quality guards, and one of the best in the 2015 class is Lamarr Kimble.

Philadelphia (Penn.) Neumann-Goretti guard Lamarr "Fresh" Kimble had a solid sophomore season. The 5-foot-11 guard teams with JaQuan Newton to form one of the best backcourts on the East Coast, and Kimble already is getting a solid amount of college interest.

"The season went real well," said Kimble. "We lost in state's in the third round, but I think we made a lot of progress as a team and had a good year."

Overall Kimble feels he had a good year, and one in which he showed what he could do at the varsity level after getting limited playing time as a freshman.

"I think I played real good," said Kimble. "I really improved on my shooting, and think I showed I can knock down more shots. Also I definitely got better on defense, just a lot of improvement."

Recruiting wise Kimble is hearing from numerous programs, but four have put in the most early work at this point.

"The schools I am hearing the most from are Notre Dame, LaSalle, St. Joe's, and Temple," said Kimble. "I am getting a lot of interest from other schools, but those four are recruiting me the most."

According to Kimble he made it to games this year at LaSalle and Temple, and for a Philadelphia kid seeing games at those Big Five schools was impressive.

"It is real good to see," explained Kimble. "There are always a lot of students there and it is a good atmosphere. The intensity was good and being a Philly kid it is real good."

For now the three-star guard is taking everything in and is simply focused on getting better and improving his all-around game. He hops to show everyone this spring and summer while on the AAU circuit with Team Final.

"I'm looking to prove a lot," said Kimble. "I want to win every game and show I am better ball handling, shooting, just everything. As a team with have very high expectations his year."
