Three-star power forward Gavin Schilling from Henderson (Nev.) Findlay Prep is one of the youngest prospects in the class, and also someone who had a very solid senior season. That performance led to some major interest from all over the country, and at the end it was Michigan State that won out.
"I proudly announce that I will be playing my college basketball at Michigan State University! Much love to all who supported me," wrote Schilling on his personal twitter account.
At 6-foot-8 with a lot of strength, Schilling is someone who has major upside given his ability to rebound the basketball and also the strides he has shown in terms of making improvements to his game.
He is the first commitment for the Spartans in the 2013 class and will look to compete for minutes right away on a very talented roster.
