Robertson updates recruitment

RALEIGH, N.C. -- Jaylan Robertson had a solid showing at the Carolina Challenge this past weekend and is looking to have a big summer on the travel team circuit.

Jaylan Robertson has high hopes for his final summer on the travel team circuit.

"My high school season was up and down," Robertson told Scout.com. "I was at two different schools. I'm back at Word of God now and I'm settled. I'm ready to have a good summer and carry it on to my last high school season."

"Individually my goal for the summer is, well I play on the EYBL circuit, and I just want to take it to every opponent and hopefully I get the recognition I deserve," he added.

Robertson played well at the Carolina Challenge this past weekend. He has good speed in transition and is a good scorer.

"When I'm rolling I have a good pull-up," Robertson said when describing his game. "I'm pretty fast. I like to pass the ball. I can pass the ball. I'm fast in transition. I'm athletic and can play above the rim."

Robertson said schools like North Carolina State, Kansas State, Cincinnati, Miami and Virginia Tech stopped in to see him during the high school season.

"Right now it's a little slow because of the school season, but it's going to turn up this summer," he said of his recruitment.

"I have an offer from [Appalachian] State and right now I'm hearing the most from Kansas State, Virginia Tech and Miami," he said.

Robertson doesn't currently have any visits scheduled, but he does plan to take some in the spring.

"This spring hopefully I'll get the recognition I deserve and I'll get to take some visits."

Robertson is running with Team United on the travel team circuit.
