Post Summer Rankings: Senior Shooting Guards

The evaluation period is over and it's time to tweak the rankings. A new player takes over the #1 shooting guard spot, and a couple of Northwest guys, like Brandon Lincoln and Marcelus Kemp, move up the list...

Chris Rodgers did have the #1 spot among the shooting guards in our spring rankings, but after watching him play in July, we've re-classified him as a point guard. That leaves the door open for another elite recruit to step into the #1 shooting guard spot, Hassan Adams. Adams started out slow at Nike, but then exploded for the rest of the month, making a good pitch to be voted to the McDonald's All-American team. Brandon Heath took his game to a new level, showing improved ballhandling and passingskills to go along with a more explosive athleticism. I think it's actually a first for PWH – that two players from the same high school are #1 and #2 at the same position. Josh Davis is really a player without a defined position, being able to play the one through the three, and doing very well at each. Brandon Lincoln had a very good July, not backing down from the elite competition at Nike. Derek Stockalper is considered by many college coaches to be one of the wings with the most upside on the west coast.
