McDonald's: Frazier to decide soon

CHICAGO -- Keith Frazier is close to a college choice. The four-star recruit said he'll likely announce his college choice a few days after the McDonald's All-American festivities.

Keith Frazier was set to decide last week between SMU, Texas Tech and Texas A&M, but he just wasn't ready.

"It was real close," he said about deciding. "I just sat down with my circle – Coach E and Coach Ron and my mom. I started second guessing myself so I told them I was going to take my time and just think about it a little more."

"I didn't want to pick the wrong school," he added. "I don't want to be in the wrong place."

Now, Frazier, a 6-foot-5 wing out of Dallas (Tex.) Kimball, is preparing to announce his college destination a few days after the McDonald's All-American game, which tips Wednesday evening.

"I'm deciding after the McDonald's game," Frazier said. "Probably two or three days [after]."

"I can't wait," he said about getting his decision out of the way. "I'm ready to pick my school and go to college."

Frazier met with all three schools last week and he said they are "neck and neck."

"Larry Brown and the coaching staff, I love SMU's coaching staff," Frazier said. "I enjoy them. Coach [Chris] Walker at Texas Tech is a real good dude. The players, he has good players. I like their players."

"A&M I'm real close with Billy Kennedy and coach Reese and J-Mychal Reese so they are coming hard," he added about the Aggies. "I'm just trying to make the right decision."

Frazier,'s No. 35 prospect, said he's working towards picking the right school for him.

"I just want to make the right decision," he said. "That's the most important thing."
