Frazier picks SMU

Keith Frazier, a four-star guard out of Texas, committed to SMU on Tuesday.

Keith Frazier opted not to wait.

Just a day after telling media following a McDonald's All-American practice that he would announce once he got home from the game, Frazier decided to verbally pledge to Larry Brown and SMU.

Frazier tweeted the news of his commitment.

SMU fought off strong interest from Texas Tech and Texas A&M. He met with all three schools last week.

"Larry Brown and the coaching staff, I love SMU's coaching staff," Frazier told on Monday.

The Dallas (Tex.) Kimball standout is one of the best pure scorers in the country. He has deep range on his jump shot and can heat up from long range in a hurry.

Frazier is the fourth pledge in SMU's 2013 recruiting class. He joins Sterling Brown, Ben Moore and Junior College standout Yanick Moreira to make up their current class.

Frazier is ranked the No. 35 overall player.
