Ahmad continues to add interest

Ohio native Esa Ahmad is someone who is going to get a long look from high level schools in the class of 2015.

Class of 2015 forward Esa Ahmad is a very skilled forward. The 6-foot-7 and 210 pound prospect from Shaker Heights (Ohio) is very good from the mid-range and in, and continues to expand his game. Now more and more college coaches are taking notice of his skills.

As a sophomore Ahmad became the focal point for his high school and led them to a solid season. Overall he was happy with how the year went.

"I think I had a great season," said Ahmad. "I think I played pretty well, but I know that I always have to keep improving."

He continued, "I think my game is coming along well, but I know I have to keep working."

Recruiting wise things have really started to pick up in a big way for Ahmad who keeps on adding offers gaining more attention from schools.

"I am being recruited by Ohio State, West Virginia, Illinois, Xavier, and I have offers from Miami, Dayton, Cleveland State, and some other schools," listed Ahmad.

Recently Ahmad made an unofficial visit to Ohio State to check out the program. He came away impressed with what he saw in Columbus.

"It was a good trip," explained Ahmad. "I love the environment there and they play hard. Ohio State is a real good school."

A school that has continued to pick up interest in Ahmad is Xavier.

"I just like how they play," said Ahmad. "They play together and the coaches seem like good guys as well."

At the moment Ahmad is in no hurry to make a decision on a college, but the forward does know what he is looking for in a school.

"I look for if I fit in and just having a good relationship with the coaching staff," said Ahmad.
