Wiggins cancels scheduled visits

Andrew Wiggins, Scout.com's No. 1 player in the 2013 class, canceled visits with North Carolina, Kansas and Florida State.

Andrew Wiggins was scheduled to meet with North Carolina, Kansas and Florida State this week. Instead, Wiggins, who is still traveling home from the Nike Hoop Summit game, has opted to cancel those meetings.

"He just said that he's done," Huntington (W.V.) Prep coach Rob Fulford told Scout.com. "He's mentally drained. He canceled them."

"This means nothing," Fulford added.

Fulford said Wiggins still plans to talk to all of the coaches on the phone by Wednesday.

"I think he's still going to talk to everybody on the phone," he said. "He's been non-stop the past three weeks and he wants to shut it down."

"He'll make contact with all of them," Fulford added. "He's still not back. He's still trying to get back to Huntington. He'll communicate with all three by Wednesday before the communication period stops. He's mentally and physically drained and just needed some space."

Fulford communicated the news to the coaches involved and he said they were understanding.

"I talked to everybody," he said. "They all get it and they all understand."

At this point, Wiggins does not have a time frame for his college choice.

"I don't think in his mind he has a timetable," Fulford said.
